THE JOURNEY

Eddie has followed the rallying ladder to the letter. Like many top drivers of the modern era, he honed his craft and skills in the Junior 1000 Rally Championship, designed for 14-17 year old aspiring rally drivers.

Despite not being able to drive on the roads, Eddie embarked on his competitive outing in 2016, with the aim of learning the basics before a full season the following year. It didn’t take him long for his natural talent to shine through, appearing towards the top of the leaderboard during the year, beating many drivers with over two years of experience. A mature head and consistent results saw him secure 4th in the Championship standings at his first attempt.

2018 kicked off with a maiden win at the opening round. Not only was this his first victory, but he did so by a winning margin of 1-minute - unheard of in the ultra competitive formula. Four podiums followed, as well as an impressive 2nd place against 40 other Juniors at the Solway Coast Rally. Eddie delivered during the remainder of the year, becoming 2018 British Junior 1000 Rally Champion, ensuring the foundations for the future in motorsport were well and truly laid.

Continuing the theme of progression, Eddie tackled his maiden World Rally Championship round at Wales Rally GB in October 2019, setting impressive times against the fastest Junior rally drivers on the planet. He successfully completed the event, building knowledge and experience for the future.

PLANS, DEVELOPMENT AND THE FUTURE

Eddie‘s ambitions are unrivalled and a dynamic 5-year plan for his career in the sport will get underway in 2020.

Building valuable experience at a Junior level will assist in his development and overwhelming ambition to become a full-time professional driver in the FIA World Rally Championship. As one of the most exciting, action packed and accessible sports in the world, Eddie is well aware that years of dedication and hard work is ahead.

To that end, building valuable experience and following the ladder of progression is essential to Eddie’s career and he will embark on the first leg of that journey in 2020.
